PwC's recent survey found that flexible working surpasses performance-related bonuses in terms of the most desired employee benefits.
These findings compliment the new Government's plans to offer the right to request flexible working to all employees.
Employees believed an improved work-life balance would also be easier to achieve than a vast increase in responsibility and salary.
Such a perception may be the result of the recession, causing employees to seek benefits beyond the financial.
