With competition still at a peak, jobseekers are focusing on smartening up their appearance, with a third of male and female applicants spending between 1 and 2 hours getting ready for their interview.
60% of respondents felt that their appearance could sway the balance in times of close competition.
A huge 96% believed their appearance indicated their attitude and commitment levels.
Many (84%) even paid attention to their choice of colour when dressing.
