Feeling insecure?

Reports suggest a recent reduction in perceived job security, with public sector employees feeling particular insecure. Sadly job satisfaction has also decreased, with voluntary sector employees continuing to be more satisfied than the rest.

Somewhat surprisingly, those feeling less secure are reporting the most satisfaction; this has been described as a 'fixed-grin' effect, a phenomenon which finds those facing the biggest struggle the most grateful for their employment.

The number of new job-seekers has risen dramatically since the end of the bank holidays, with four times as many applicants than usual. It is thought that the increase in leisure time has led to the opportunity for career reflection and the desire to make a change.
