AWR - Are you prepared?

As of the 1st October 2011 new legislation comes into force affecting the rights of agency workers.

Known as the AWR (Agency Worker Regulations), the aim is to ensure that temporary employees receive equal treatment to permanent staff members.

The majority of these rights apply following a qualifying period of twelve weeks of employment.

What does this mean for me as an employer?

While the impact will not affect all areas of recruitment, it is essential that employers are aware of the implications of these regulations; to this end Appoint will be issuing regular news updates on the website over the coming months, as well as a comprehensive, yet simply defined, briefing bulletin which will be emailed to all clients.
