A prosperous year?
The latest research has explored pay conditions for the year ahead, revealing that in 2011:
- 45% of companies intend to increase pay
- 49% of companies intend to maintain pay levels
- only 6% of companies intend to reduce pay
The survey, conducted on 450 UK businesses, also found that only 13% of companies expect to reduce their workforce following the impact of government funding cuts.
43% of the survey sample intend to pay staff bonuses this year.
The results support suggestions that many businesses intend to take a cut to their bottom line figures, rather than risk losing valuable staff members.
