A tabloid newspaper has today published an image of a teenage rioter who was supposed to be attending a job interview...

The young man in question was pictured with a finger in the air, wearing a police helmet. Unfortunately the interview he missed out on was his first opportunity to get his foot on the career ladder - a chance that he had travelled from Surrey to London to achieve!

It is apparent that there remains a pool of jobseekers failing to realise the realities of today's competitive marketplace and the fact that an interview is both an experience and an opportunity.
