Fickle Generation Y!
Over half of Generation Y workers have been found to avoid workplace commitment, with the aim of leaving their employment within the year.
These findings have changed little since the 2008 'Life After College Survey,' in which:
* 43% of Generation Y workers also confessed they were not in the career they expected to be in, either because they couldn't find a job, or another opportunity presented itself.
* 60% reported to be looking for another job, despite the fact that 57% indicated that they were happy in their current position.
Post-recession, business leaders are all the more eager to recruit candidates with a proven history of commitment and loyalty, thus suggesting that more than half a generation of workers could be limiting their future opportunities.
