A third of British workers are reportedly prepared to accept a pay cut in order to relocate to the more peaceful countryside.

72% of those surveyed wanted to escape the crowds, with 67% citing noise and pollution as the primary cause.

Glasgow, Newcastle and London were found to be the cities that most workers wanted to leave.

20% of respondents would be prepared to change career track entirely to fulfil their countryside ambitions, with animal rearing and jam making mentioned.
