Beware the office fridge!

Following the recession it has been reported that 7 out of 10 employees are making the effort to take in their own lunch at least once each week.

However, conscientiousness does not necessarily spell cleanliness - with the majority of employees failing to clean up after themselves or discard of their leftovers!

Figures reveal that less than half of office fridges are cleaned monthly, with only 22% being cleaned once or twice annually.

The quantity of packed lunches stored in refrigerators at any one time may also be causing food products to deteriorate quicker, due to a lack of cool air flow.
