Training Schemes or University?
It will not have escaped your attention that today is results day for many A Level students. The outcome of which inevitably leads to decisions as to whether to attend University, or enter into Employment.
Recruiter magazine has announced that 2010 has seen an increase in applications for on the job training schemes. However, BBC reports show that demand for University places remains strong, with a reduction in the number of clearing places available this year.
Remarkably, they tell the story of one Student who has failed to secure a University place despite his six A Grades.
The BBC also report an increase in the number of students opting to enter into employment as a preference, in order to gain experience and avoid entering into debt.
