Rating the boss?!
Is your boss a good communicator? While communication skills have been rated the most important attribute for a strong business leader, fewer than 20% of UK workers believe their boss communicates effectively.
Motivation skills were voted the second most important factor, however only 13% of employees feel inspired by their boss' own strategies.
Perhaps most concerning, 14% of survey respondents doubted their employer's personal integrity.
The global executive search firm which undertook this study suggested that most business leaders possess these key attributes yet appear to better convey such qualities when communicating with shareholders and other stakeholders, rather than with their own employees.
