Embrace the AWR!

The Legal Director of an international recruitment business has urged employers to 'embrace the spirit of the AWR' or else risk damaged reputations.

The Agency Workers Regulation, which comes into force this autumn, has been developed to ensure parity between the rights of temporary workers and permanent employees.

With 70% of employers continuing to experience a skills shortage within their workforce, it is imperative that businesses consider their attractiveness as employers; any attempt to avoid the AWR through changes in recruitment methods may be negatively perceived as avoidance of workplace equality.
