Too pretty?!
A recent US University study has found that attractive female jobseekers may be overlooked when applying for male-dominated professions, or when good looks are not considered 'important' for the position!
Applicants for positions including Manager of R&D, Finance Director, Mechanical Engineer and Construction Supervisor, are said to have been affected.
Interestingly, the findings do not apply to male candidates.
This is not the first time that such a study has been conducted; previous research findings suggest that Employers interviewing members of the opposite sex rate attractive candidates higher, however the reverse is true when interviewing members of their own sex.
